This article aims at the above-mentioned problem, relevant theories and mathematics methods of the applied safety system engineering, carried on the assessment to the fire protection system of the city building, the main research contents is as follows:1. Based on the hazard theories, this article systematically analyzed the hazard within building fires, divided the hazards of the building fire into three, and process the definition, is the foundation of the full text; Based on the systematically analysis to three fire hazards, this article combined the characteristics of construct a fire occurrence development, define the fire protection system of the building; Analyze and processing the different type of building fires.2. Summing-up fire cases of countrywide cities in 2000-2003, based on the frequency of fire and FTA analysis method, this article analysis the fire protection system of the initial stage and spread stage of fire; through the count and taxis the importance of the basis events, this article found out the weakness of the fire protection system in different stages of fire.3.
