At present , cement stabilized macadam was the main semi-rigidity base material in highway construction in China . Because of which had fine entirety , relatively high initial strength , the crack resistance property and deformation resistance , it had been widely used in highway , city way and airport way . But the dry shrinkage property of cement stabilized macadam was relatively high , so that , the property of base would be influenced if dry shrinkage wouldn't be well controlled to produce cracks easily.The paper focused mainly on the change regularities of physics mechanics qualities and the relation between physics mechanics qualities ( the strength of base material , modulus of resilience , dry shrinkage , frost-resisting property ) and influence factors ( slag powder adding amount , fineness of slag , maintenance condition ) , after adding proper quantity slag powder into cement stabilized macadam . Based on the tests , applying the mechanics property of cement stabilized macadam , dry shrinkage property , frost-resisting property , statistics , variance analysis , regression analysis and so on , the paper analyzed the influence of the mechanics of cement stabilized macadam after adding steel slag powder . The conclusion of the test was driven that : 1,The compressive strength and the rigidity of mixtures increase in the first and decrease in the last , the splitting tensile strength decrease with the content of steel slag powder increasing .The experiment resulted show that it could mainly enhance the strength and the rigidity of mixtures when the blending proportion of steel slag was proper (ratio of steel slag is 20.2%) ; 2,When the blending proportion of steel slag was proper , it could mainly weaken the dry shrinkage and enhance the frost-resisting property of mixtures . The expansibility of steel slag with steam test was researched in this paper too . By means of the expansibility of the steel slag , the paper analyzed the reason that the dry shrinkage of the semi-rigidity base material had been weakened after steel slag powder joined . The experimental results showed that the larger fineness of steel slag powder , the larger expansion rate was . At last , the conclusion was driven that steel slag had much influence on the strength of cement stabilized macadam , dry shrinkage and frost-resisting property . I believe these relevant proposed advices would provide some theoretical value and direction to the similar study .
