Abstract As the speedy development of the highway engineering in ourcountry, the repairs is gradually increasing, and the maintains for bump isbecoming one of new problems. Vehicle will jump where there are marked slopevariety or rigidity change , which is caused by the great difference of settlements atthe joint between replenishment of embankment and sides of bridges and passculverts. This text depends on the maintains of bumps taking place in the motorwayfrom Harbin to DaQing ,semi-flexible pavement materials are used to solvebumps .Semi-flexible pavements are made by pouring the special syrup intooriginal pavement with a wide void (20-25%)caused by using open gradationbitumen mixture .The main composition of the slurry is cement . This new type ofpavement is more flexible than cement concrete and more rigid than bitumenconcrete, and it is called semi-flexible pavement in order to be differentiated fromsemi-rigid pavement. Many domestic experts carry on this respect, for exampleProfessor Lin Xiuxian of Tongji University who managed the task of < theResearch of New Composites of Pavements – Special Bitumen Mixture >.Semi-flexible mixtures mainly include elementary bitumen and cement slurry .Theelementary bitumen mixtures require big void ,generally speaking it′s 20-25%.Inthis article ,the framework of the elementary bitumen is designed based onexperienced formula or TAI-BO formula, and the mixture designed on the basis ofvolume method .The cement slurry is composed of three-acid salt cement, orepowder, sand, water and extra agents. The performances of shrink and advancedstrength are optimized in order to adapt to the conditions of the cold districts in thenorth. Semi-flexible mixtures are spread over the motorway from Harbin to Daqingafter design. The projects mainly include groove digging and semi-flexiblepavement spreading .That particularly involves elementary bitumen mixturespreading;cement slurry madding and filling;semi-flexible pavement seaming.Factors should be concerned for solving bump with semi-flexible material,including materials,structures and technologies. At present , the effect of thetesting segment is quite well, however ,it′s servicing behaviors need moreobservation.
