| The electric transmission grid is the most important part of the power system.The super-voltage grid needs much better maintainment and fault settled down more quickly. Coupled with rising of voltage and enlarging the scale of power system, the tranditional management can't meet to the requirement of the grid any more.A geographical information software for electric grid with analysing what the transmission grid reguires the geographical information is designed in this paper. The data structure of this software is analysed carefully; some advanced measuring techniques such as GPS system and digital photoing technique are introduced; the GPS programming plat can be sure by comparing from varied aspects, such as function, performance and so on.The software architecture and functional module of this software is particular designed.
