With the development of our national economy, lots of space structure buildings spring up. Therein to, a great mass of them belongs to space bar structures. The large deformation stability analysis is the control factor in the process of this kind of structure design. In fact, the special FEM analysis systems that are suit to FEM analysis of the large deformation stability for designer are very scarce. So it is necessary to develop this work. In this thesis, three main aspects are included as follows.1. Calculational theory and numberical method on the large deformation stability analysis of space bar structuresThe large deformation stability analysis theory of space bar structures is finite element theory on geometric nonlinear problems. In this thesis, arc-length method is used to solve nonlinear equilibrium equations of the large deformation stability analysis.2. Development of system of the large deformation stability analysis of space bar structuresFirstly, development platform GiD7.2 and calculation analysis program FEAP are introduced. A new system which includes the advantages of the GiD7.2 and FEAP is developed by creating the special problem type GiD-FEAP interface. Finally, the system is executed by a example of 24-bar.3. Examples and applicationThe rationality and reliability of the development system are verified with classical Williams Toggle frame and 24-bar. Then the single layer spherical, cylindrical, elliptic paraboloidal reticulated shell and double layer cylindrical reticulated shell are calculated on the large deformation stability respectively, which show the application of the development system on the large deformation stability analysis of space bar structures.
