With the increasing reguirement of sand and rock resource in construction market, recent years, it's hard to hold back the sand in rivervay to be exploited in order for rivervay management department, then it bring the building near the river to destroy sometimes. There are many river barrages, sluices and bridges in danger continuously in Shan Dong province, as a result, it is necessary to research the reinforcing foundation technique and the measure of energy dissipation and erosion prevention in riverway with abundant sand. This paper took Dawen river Pipashan overflow dam consolidation project of Shan Dong province as example, put the theory into practice, studied the consolidation technology for the river barrages in the sand foundation.The design of the energy dissipation and dam foundation support are all important contents of strengthening sand foundation for river barrage, the design theory and construction method are exploed and impoved on water resources engingeering. Basing on the summarizing and analyzing present research of the reinforcing technique of reservoir dams, energy dissipation and diaphragm wall, combining Dawen river Pipashan overflow dam consolidation project of Shan Dong province, this article studied the application consolidation technology of the reinforcing technique design scheme, energy dissipated mechanics, diaphragm wall, etc. Based on analysis of Dawen river region hydrology meteorological, eological condition, this paper studied the dam-break reason of Pipashan overflow dam, put forward 4 consolidation solution design scheme, then compared and selected from them, finally this paper selected the consolidation scheme—overflow dam and rubber dam, rush sand floodgate surface flows energy dissipation mechanics consolidate scheme. At the same time, this paper made related design research with the selected scheme.The principal part of the project of the research design has completed the construction before 2004 flood season, and experienced two flood periods, the practice had proven the proposed design proposal satisfies the operation requirements, the reinforcing measure of Pipashan overflow dam is scientific and reasonable. The results can be used for reference for the strengthening treatment of other river barrage and faulty and dangerous reservoirs, and can also be accumulated as the experience for study strengthening technique of the faulty and dangerous reservoirs.
