Reviewing the current research progress on complete stress-deformation curve of concrete in tension at home and abroad, the sections of concrete specimens used to be measured is limited to 250mm × 250mm. Despite the research has been listed as a key project of the Eighth-five Program, the literatures about stress- deformation curve for full-graded concrete is very limited now. In this paper, a test device, which can measure stress-deformation curve in tension is developed and manufactured. Then the test measuring the curves is carried out successfully. The main work done and some conclusions obtained in this paper are as follows:(1) The premise of measuring stress-deformation curve for concrete in tension is analyzed theoretically. In this paper, a pair of liquid damper, which has been revised, is used as add-on rigidity subassembly. And then a test device, which has higher rigidity and greater load range, is developed and manufactured. Moreover, based on many factors that have effect on stress-deformation curve, the test device is improved correspondingly. At last, rigidity of the test device is measured.(2) In order to make more contributions to the standardization of the measurement of stress- deformation curve for concrete in tension, some factor which affect the result of measuring is analyzed theoretically.(3) The feasibility of a glued double-plated grip method and dense corrugated steel bar grip manner is demonstrated by test.(4) With the method of cyclic load, three series of three-graded concrete is tested, and the stress- deformation curve is obtained. According to the result of the experiment, the progress of failure is analyzed briefly.
