With the development of power electronics, the motor manufacturing technology and the progress of theories of AC speed regulation system and novel control strategies, the permanent magnet synchronous motor control systems are widely applied in electromechanical integration, robot and automotive electronics.Firstly, the control strategies used in the PMSM control system are generalized in this paper. Based on analysis of the structure of the PMSM, mathematics model of PMSM is set up at both stationary coordinate and two phase rotor coordinate. The SVPWM control method of PMSM is analyzed in detail. A novel hybrid structure control strategy of PMSM is presented in this paper, which makes the control system get quicker dynamic response and higher static performance. The simulation and experimental results show the validity of this method.By comparing and analyzing some different rotor initial position detecting methods used in the PMSM control system, a new detecting method is presented and the scheme of it is introduced. Its validity is proven by simulation and experiment.PID controller is the key to the PMSM vector control system. A good performance can be achieved when the PID controller's parameters are matching with the control system. The parameters of PID have to be adjusted when the system's parameters change. Two PID controllers combined with fuzzy control or CMAC neural network are applied in the PMSM control system separately. The simulation results under Matlab/Simulink environment prove that better performance is obtained by using the two compound controllers.Finally, both hardware structure and software scheme of the designed control system are introduced. The mixed program method that adopted C and assembly language under DSP program environment is illustrated and summarized, which makes the complicated control strategies applying and software expanding easier.
