The high-speed PMSM (H-PMSM) with sinusoidal currents is the best choice for high-speed operation because of the high efficiency, low torque ripple, lower rotor losses and excellent control performance. However, it is difficult to detect the rotor position because of the complex machinery. This thesis presents a novel method of detecting HPMSM rotor position through the line back EMF of accessorial signal windings and designed a set of H-PMSM's controller aimed to this new method of detecting rotor position. Furthermore, after the compensation of this new method of rotor position detection this thesis used DSP to design a system of Field Oriented Control based on SVPWM.This thesis presents a novel method using accessorial signal windings to detect the rotor position and speed of high-speed PMSM in wide speed range. These accessorial windings'distribution is similar to the power windings which are inlayed in stator. Aimed to detecting the rotor position from the accessorial signal windings, this article designed a circuit of processing line back EMF in signal windings.Taking this especial method into account, this thesis analyzed the factors of phasic lagging of line back EMF in signal windings from the aspect of circuit, the effect of armature reaction and the infection of the 5th order harmonic of current wave. Finally, this thesis designed a method of compensation of rotor position detection. The results showed that this method of compensation is effective to meliorate the precision of rotor position detection. With regard to the hardware design, this thesis designed an H-PMSM controller using DSP to realize the reliable operating; on the aspect of control strategy, the vector model was studied and this thesis realized a system of Field Oriented Control based on SVPWM.
