In our country there are too many ill earth-rockfill dams, but because of the limited funds for consolidating, all the ill dams cannot be consolidated at the same time.The method of Fuzzy Comprehensive Evaluation of Earth-rockfill Dam Safety is presented, which gets the safety degree of the dam, then which dam has the priority to be consolidated will be decided depends on the safety degree. By the principle of selecting factors, engineering experience and correlation theory and criteria, the primary factors and sub-factors are selected, the standards for judging and the suitable subordinate functions curve can be determined, so the evaluation index system is established. According to the factors affected the dam safety are complicated and the standards for judging are fuzzy, the factors are classified in different types and different layers through the method of Fuzzy Comprehensive Evaluation. Then each factor safety degree will be got and the final result can be known by the method of Fuzzy Comprehensive Evaluation of Earth-rockfill Dam Safety.In the evaluation of dam safety, different factors reflect different status and importance, make different contribution to the safety evaluation that is each factor has its own weight. Weights of the factors are determined through real coding based accelerating genetic algorithm (RAGA),which adopts the probability optimization idea, based on analytic hierarchy process (AHP). Meanwhile, changeable weights of the factors, by which the more dangerous factors can have higher weight value, are proposed according to the value of the evaluation indexes, by doing so, the evaluation result can reflect practical situation better.
