USB(Universal Serial Bus) is one of the most popular peripheral buses now. Because of the benefits such as low-cost, Hi-speed, plug-and-play, hot-plug, ease-to-use, ease-to-extend, it is widely supported and applied in industry field. Espeacially with the increasing application of embedded products, products and devices that support USB technology are growing. So the study of Embedded USB Host becomes a direction in USB development domain.This study applys embedded USB HOST interface as a module to the Microprocessor and realizes the practical application of embedded USB HOST to the auto-multimedia system.1. The hardware structure of the auto-multimedia system is introduced by numbers which is based on VirgineG2.0, a kind of media processor. The USB HOST interface based on ISP1161A1 chip is designed.2. The Real-Time operating system μC/OS-Ⅱ is replanted. The system has good ability of real-time processing because it takes charge distributing all hardware resource, attempering tasks, controlling and corresponding coordinate tasks.3. Based on the VirgineG2.0 system, the USB HOST software is empoldered with the replantment of the FAT file system is named as ZLG/FS and the embedment of theUSB Protocol, to realize communication with USB devices, that is, reading, writing or deleting files.The paper has finished the test of reading and writing the U-disk on the system of VirgineG2.0 and μC/OS-Ⅱ by using ZRVG2 emulational board and EISC Studio software. And the result has been proved feasible.
