Abstract/Summary:
Double-arch-steel-tubular structure is a is a kind of new structure combined by main-arch and minor-arch. The structure is composed of main-arch, minor-arch, chord, wed member and cross-bar. The structure is reasonable, stiff and have small displacements under the loads. Its shape is beautiful. Besides, the structure's dynamic behaviors are better than dynamic behaviors of the other structures, so it is espacially suitable to the constructions which are always under the dynamic loads. In this article, the structure is applied to the sluice gates in Caoe River dam, and its dynamic behaviors was studied carefully.First of all, the developments and the classification of sluice gates is introduced. In addition, the general situation of the Caoe River and the existing states of the study about dynamic behavior of sluice gates is also introduced.Secondly, the vibration of the double-arch-steel-tubular structure is studied carefully. It is introduced that why the sluice gates oscillate under the hydraulic pressure. Becauce of the particularity about the environmental condition of sluice gates, the equation of structure vibration under the hydraulic pressure is deduced. Then, after comparing the basic frequency and modes under the altering boundary condition since gate would be turn-on and shut-down in action, the vibration rules of double-arch -steel-tubular structure under the hydraulic pressure is got.Because the sluice gates in Caoe River dam are on the exit to the ocean of QianTang River, they are shocked by surge pressure. The surge pressure in 0.2% possibility is got from the observation data of homologus reach. So the response of the double-arch-steel-tubular structure under the surge pressure can be got. Besides, if the surge pressure is altering, the response of the structure is also changing. After comparing the responses of different conditions, some useful rules can be got.Finally, in order to testify the correctness of the research, a scale-model dynamic test is designed. The dynamic magnification foctor of the double-arch -steel-tubular structure under the QianTang River surge pressure can be got from the experimental findings in this article.
