The 10MW high temperature gas-cooled reactor (HTR-10), as one of themost advanced reactors for use in the 21st century, was designed andconstructed by the Institute of Nuclear and New Energy Technology (INET) ofTsinghua University in China. It reached first criticality in December 2000 andsuccessfully reached full power level in the beginning of year 2003, whichindicates China's HTR technology ranks high in the international field. TheHTR-10 has the feature of inherent safety, which can be commercial reactorimportant developed in this century. In order to study the HTR-10 deeply, INETdeveloped the simulation and online assistant system of HTR-10 based onnetwork. After profound investigation of structure system and running environment,a network communication system of simulation and online assistance system ofHTR-10 was designed and developed. As the subsystem of simulation andonline assistance system of HTR-10, this developed system realizes twofunctions. Firstly, a gateway station is added to the ARCNET network ofHTR-10, which will obtain the measured reactor data collected by I/O station ofHS2000 DCS (Distributed Control System) system;Secondly, the gateway willsend the data obtained to the upper layer system--the simulation and controland other assistant systems by network. The thesis adopts the TCP/IP protocol and server/client module. The taskof the server is obtaining the data coming from the I/O station of HTR-10 andsending them to the client, while the client should receive the data by the server. It is because the developing environment is still the same as the usual DCS ofHTR-10 that the invested funds shouldn't be a large number and it has a goodcompatibility feature. This system can be usesd in the field of HTR-10. It not only facilitates thefurther study on the HTR-10 with the upper developed simulation and onlineassistant system, but also be very helpful to the operation and training of theHTR-10.
