Application Of The Data Warehouse Technology In Data Analysis And Management Of Power Plants

Application of data warehouse (DW) technology in power enterprises is becoming ahot topic of current research. The safe and economic operation is the most attentiveproblem in power plants. The DW research aimed at power plant units' safety andeconomy is underway. The current information condition of power enterprises wasinvestigated and a large number of literatures about construction of DW in powerenterprises were studied in this paper. On-Line Analytical Processing (OLAP) wasfinished after the DW aimed at danger signals of power plant units was designed. Finallysome conclusions were drawn after the DCS data of unit #1 of FuZhou power plant wasanalyzed. These conclusions are consistent to the practical operation condition. The DWand OLAP technology is proved to be scientific and reliable in improving the safety andeconomy of power plant units. And it also can promote the information process of powerenterprises, so it has practical value.
