The system of evacuation indicatory signs plays a key role during people's safety evacuation in building fire.with the help of these direction signs,We shall know the right evacuation route,avoide evacuating blindly,save evacuation time,decrease the damage resulted from fire.Some fire cases and researches have proved that the corrent system of evacuation indicatory signs is defective and it is unreliabale,signs will become disabled under dark or smoke circumstance or other unfavorable conditions, so something should be done to perfect the system to suit more conditions.based on the analysis above.In this paper the author puts forward a proposal that is to design a new kind of evacuation indicatory sign which can be identified by tactile sensation as a supplementary measure for the current system ,with the new design we can not only improve the reliability of the system but also afford convenience for the people whose vision aren't good.In this paper,the author demonstrated the necessity and feasibility of adding this new kind of sign,analyzed the theory about Ergonomics and cognitive psychology and other subjects which are related to the design of tactile sensation evacuation indicatory sign.Based on this,three psychological experimentations are designed to advanced the study on the shape and size of this new kind of sign.The objective of experimentations is to find out the relation of signs shape and people's intellect to the meaning of signs,to find out the relation of signs shape and people's ability to identify signs, to find out the relation of signs shape and people's right judgement probability, to find out the relation of signs size and people's right judgement probability, to find out the relation of the length of hands and the optimum value people choose.SPSS for windows 11.5 Statistical Analysis Software is applied to analyze the data gathered from experimentations,by doing that the author draws conclusions:The shape of signs has significant influence on testees' intellect to the meaning of signs, different shape sign is understood by different amount of testees that is reflected by the marks testees give to every shape sign,and the difference is significant;the shape of signs has significant influence on testees'ability to identifysigns by touching;the shape of sign has significant influence on testees' right judgement probability;the size of sign has significant influence on testees' right judgement probability,but observed power is low,further research is need to do to verify this conclusion;the alternating effect of shape and size doesn't have significant influence on testees' right judgement probability, observed power is low , further research is need to do to verify this conclusion;the values of testees hands length is not related to the optimum values testees choose,there is no obvious linear relation between them.The conclusions based on the research supply references to the design of tactile sensation evacuation indicatory sign,the designer can choose the shape and size of sign according to the conclusions, the research is practically meaningful to perfect the system of evacuation indicatory signs. |
