The paper presents the analysis method which combines DOE technology and computer simulation technology to research the simulation and improvement on cab suspension of commercial vehicle according to the requirement of enterprise. The research not only improves the ride comfort performance of the vehicle, but also provides the enterprise with the reference about the development of new products.Firstly, the paper introduces the background and purpose for the project of the simulation and improvement on cab suspension of commercial vehicle. It analyzes the domestic and abroad research about suspension system and cab of vehicles and indicates that it is necessary and timely to research the simulation problem of cab suspension to improve the ride comfort of commercial vehicle.Secondly, the paper recounts the related theory of DOE technology such as the choice for the level of the factors, the control of experiment error, the treatment on the experiment data. It also explains the DOE technology in ADAMS and put forward a method to research by combining the orthoplan technology and computer simulation in ADAMS. After having studied the structural characteristic of cab suspension and the essential effect to the ride comfort, it simplifies the real vehicle and gets the mechanical model. Following this, all kinds of parameters are decided and parametric simulation and analysis model of cab suspension system based on the whole vehicle is set up in ADAMS.Eventually, the article establishes the evaluation function, simulation script, DOE scheme, etc. and then performs the DOE simulation to study the parameter choice and match between the cab suspension and main suspension system. After the data processing and validation, the improving scheme is brought forward. Besides, the second circle DOE runs and is proved to be needful and effective.The research production can not only be referred in using modern computer simulation technology to study the cab suspension system, but also at the aspect of DOE technology's application on the research of vehicle ride comfort.
