Research On Remote Elevator Monitoring System Based On Lon Works Technology

Elevator as an electromechanical integrated equipment plays an important role in transportation skyscrapers. It is also the indispensable part of building automation. For the complex structure and the strict request for reliability, the monitoring running status and fault information of elevator is significant to its management, maintenance and security operation.This thesis introduces the latest development of the remote monitoring system of elevator and comparises the condition of the domestic and international research and development of this field and set up a large remote monitoring system by LonWorks technology and internet technology. In system, monitoring computers are set in the manage department in dwelling house, in the department for maintaining elevators and in the department for managing all elevators in a city. The monitoring computer in the manage department in dwelling house is served as the subordinate machine. The monitoring computer in the department for maintaining all elevators is .served as server.The monitoring computer in the department for managing all elevators in a city is served as client. The subordinate machine communicates with the server through local network. The client communicates the server through internet. According to this system, the manage department in dwelling house, the department of maintaining elevators and the department of managing all elevators in a city can real-time monitor the elevators they take charge of. When some elevator is out of order, these departments can know fault message simultaneously and then take steps in time.This system is composed of data acquisition system and remote monitoring software.Data acquisition system takes charge of sampling the signals of elevator status and fault, and sending the acquired data to monitoring computer of the manage department in dwelling house though the LonWorks Fielsbus. The universal property and compatibility have been carefully considered in designing the data acquisition system. The system overcomes the inconvenience because of the companies' own code standards and communication protocols and especially design a data acquisition card for sampling the signals of elevator status and fault directly.The remote monitoring software is developed by circulate software MCGS. The network edition of circulate software MCGS adopts three layers advanced model structure system: the subordinate machine, server and client, which is based on the protocol of TCP/IP. Because the output of MCGS cannot directly link with the input of LNS DDE Server, which monitors the LonWorks network, the software of DDEBridge is developed by Delphi to connect them. The monitoring interface in software displays the real time running status of elevator with dynamic pictures and the running parameters. When some elevator is out of order, the window will appear automatically to show the fault message.
