International Maritime Organization (IMO) stipulates it clearly in STCW (International Convention on Standards of Training Certification and Watching for Seafarers) that the engineer must be trained with artificial simulator. With the implementation of STCW78/95, it is particularly important to carry on the training of the electric technological professional knowledge to the engineer, so the market will be very great to the demand for the ship power simulator.At first the writer introduces the development and current situation of the domestic and international ship power simulator. Then the author gives full play to the advantage of the computer software, following the principle of simplicity and convenience, and designs a set of PC-based simulator. Because it is very suitable for the students to do self-study, it becomes very favorable auxiliary teaching tool for the full-task ship power simulator.Power station is an independent power system. In the thesis, based on one modernized power station of the cruise ship, the author synthesizes the type characteristic of the other generators, and analyzes some characteristics of ship electric power system. Then according to the electric system of the generating set and electric production process, the author sets up its mathematic model and realizes the simulation of the ship power on the computer. During the process of simulation, the primary task is to set up the mathematic model which can describe the system of the ship power simulator. And the ship power equipment can be divided into two parts: one is the generator sets, which include the diesel engine, the generator and accessories. And part two includes monitoring, protection, alarm, operation devices as well as devices that regulate the operation of the generator. Therefore, the mathematical model for the generator sets has also two parts: one is a dynamic mathematical model which is used to simulate diesel engines, generators, accessories and a mathematical model for system dynamic state. Moreover this part is described in the part of generator model analyzing;the other is a logic and monitoring mathematical model which is used to simulate shippower station protection, alarm operation and monitoring, and this part is described in the part of program chart.The author use Visual C# language and GDI+ graphics programming to develop and set up the system. The database of this system is constructed with Microsoft Access 2000. After several months' analysis, design and coding, the author has already achieved the goal of initial design tentatively. This software has complete control cabinet function, and the function of friendly interface, abundant operating training.The result of the simulation has made it clear that the data of imitating are the same as the data of the ship. So it proves that the model we set up and our analysis are correct. This system has expansibility and feasibility in economy and technique.
