Since the new tunnel is close to existing tunnel, the seismic wave induced byblasting endangers the safety and stabilization of the surrounding rock and the liningof existing tunnel. The principle of finite-element method is used to analyze vibrationinfluence of tunneling blasting on the existing tunnel. And some numericalsimulations were carried out with ANSYS program;some conclusions were achievedaccording to the calculated results of some examples, which would provide somereferences for the construction and design of the actual engineering. In this paper, the value of researching the vibration influence of tunnelingblasting on the existing tunnel, the domestic and international research status in quoand the compare of the new old research method was expounded and generalizeddetailedly. Then the application of finite-element method in this paper was explaineddetailedly, which included the dynamical finite-element method, the nonlinearanalyzing and solving method, the simulation of blasting vibration, the simplificationof boundary, the course of meshing and so on. The stress wave theory and the failuretheory of rock blasting was introduced systematically, the general calculating methodof antidetonating structure in earth, and some Personal standpoints about how tosimulate blasting vibration using ANSYS were put forward. Some different examplesabout vibration influence of tunneling blasting on the existing tunnel were analyzedby using the transient dynamics method of ANSYS, which considered some differentcases, such as different space lengths of tunnels, different types of surrounding rock, different shapes of existing tunnel, different depths of embedment and differentrelative positions of both tunnels. The vibration velocity, stress and distortion oflining and surrounding rock were analyzed, and some rules and characteristics aboutthe vibration influence of tunneling blasting on the existing tunnel were put forwardby analyzing and comparing the different results.
