There are complicated engineering entironment , varied condition ofengineering hydrogeology, high technology in construction of Quyang Roadstation in Shanghai metro line (M8). Construction of well in soft ground addsdifficulty to control foundation pit deform and pumping, prevent foundation fromcollapsing and protect construction safety. According to the construction of Quyang Road station in Shanghai metroline , the key construction technology ,the main construction process andconstruction effects in open-excavation are detailedly discussed in this paper . Firstly,this paper makes a careful study of the engineering environment, engineeringhydrogeology condition of the Quyang Road station .The form of exterior-protectingconstruction was determinated through considering the characteristic ofopen-excavation ,which the continuous concrete wall was adopted for the main bodyof exterior-protecting construction of Quyang Road station and soil-mixing wallwas adopted at the wind booth and the in-out of foundation pit;Then, the pumpingconstruction technology of deep foundation pit in soft ground area was presented ,the foundation well in every parts was reasonably distributed andconstructed;Next ,theory of time-space effect was adopted to guide the process ofexcavating earthwork and propping up . The emergency measure in construction offoundation pit was also put forward .Finally , the construction monitoring andinformation management technology were discussed and the detail of monitoringcontents and methods were also presented .The engineering practices show thatstation construction has high quality and foundation pit deform and pumping arecontrolled in the rang of Code requirement , whose exterior-protecting constructionwas composed of the continuous concrete wall and soil-mixing wall;It isimportant to apply the theory of "time-space effect" to guide the construction andmake sure the construction safety;The construction monitoring of excavating wouldprovide the data for comparing with the theory data and valuable experiences for thefuture similar engineering.
