The competition market reform in electricity industry is a main trend in the world. The electricity market in China is just in the beginning. The structure of electricity industry, market model and operation mechanism are key problems in the market operating. How to realize the optimal configuration of resources on the basis of market measure, especially under the immature conditions, becomes the primary issue in the electricity market research at present.In this thesis, proceeding with the current status analysis of domestic and foreign electricity market experience, as well as the development of electricity industry in China, the necessary and worthy study of AGC (automatic generation control) in electricity market was pointed out. The study in this paper was focus on some issues about AGC service in electricity market. The research including:(1) Analyzing the cost of AGC units:Analyzing the cost of AGC units under a certain region system with fixing and varying load can provide economic signals in deregulated environment.(2) The models of AGC units participating in electricity market : After analyzing systematically technical and economic characteristics of power industry, the model of electricity market and the subsistent models of AGC units participating in electricity market, basing on the current instance of power market innovation in china, this part proposed a new solution to the AGC units participating in electricity market in deregulated environment.(3) Analyzing and deciding technique of AGC's demand:At first, it is feasible to analyze demand of AGC service; Secondly, this part analyzed the factors that influence the demand of AGC service; At length, this part proposed three solutions to fix on the demand of AGC service.(4) AGC service market:After analyzing the traditional method of selecting generator to perform AGC function, a new algorithm was proposed in this part in which regulation speed and response delay time were used to evaluate performance of AGC units, and the algorithm could consider two aspects of performance and price to solve the problem of selecting which generator to perform AGC function. The numerical example applies to a practical systemindicates that the proposed method is valid and practical.(5) Settlement and assessment of AGC units:A rational method for quantitative evaluating and examining the regulation efficiency of AGC units was put forward in this part, in which according to the operation records, the correlation coefficient between AGC command and practical performance of units was computed to assess the AGC units'service equality. To evaluate , examine the regulation efficiency of AGC units and give them economic compensations can promote the performance of AGC units.(6) Scheme to apportionment of AGC service's cover charge:A rational method for apportionment of AGC service's expense was put forward in this part. At first the cover charge of AGC service's was apportioned among generator and load, then among themselves.
