Intelligent No-Arc Motor Starter With Communication Function is a new type of low-voltage control and protect electric apparatus which synthesizes SCM technology,power electronics technology,communication technology and electric apparatus technology. The starter is composed of new-type intelligent hybrid AC contactor and intelligent motor protector. The excellent performance of the starter is each contact connects only one unidirectional SCR in parallel to finish no-arc controlling in the course of closing and breaking of the contactor and have the fieldbus communication function. In order to improve the technology and function of the starter above, the dissertation mainly contains of the following aspects to meet the demand of no-arc starting and fieldbus communication. Introduce the working fundamentals and characteristics of Intelligent No-Arc Motor Starter with communication function. Using MATLAB software, the dissertation analyzes three voltage and current waveforms under different conditions such as different closing phase angle and different phase sequence during the starting process of the motor. And compared with the experiment result, the best project of no-arc starting for Intelligent No-Arc Motor Starter with communication Function is made. The developing tendency of intelligent low-voltage electric apparatus is using field-bus communication technology. Intelligent No-Arc Motor Starter With communication Function that can intercommunicate with control-PC is convenient for us when using Modbus fieldbus technology, and its structure is simple, also its capability is enhanced greatly. DeviceNet is one of the fieldbuses, which is recommended by low-voltage electric apparatus trades. CAN is the base of DeviceNet. It has many characteristics such as low price, using convenience and easy grasp. So the dissertation also introduces CAN fieldbus communication technology into Intelligent No-Arc Motor Starter. And the CAN interface will create a fundamental for using DeviceNet fieldbus module of the starter. In a word, Intelligent No-Arc Motor Starter With communication Function that this dissertation studies not only realizes no-arc starting, but also has the function of intercommunicating with control-PC. So electrical endurance of Intelligent No-Arc Motor Starter With communication Function is enhanced greatly, the operation dependability and performance indexes improve greatly. The starter has the high performance-cost ratio and high capability.
