Intelligent Solid Soft Starter is based on the variable reactance technique, which is designed especially for large and medium electromotor in order to decline the maximum current during the starting. In order to reduce the influence and damage by the direct starting of 3-phase asynchronism motor, the soft start based on variable reactance technique is analyzed and the intelligent controller of this soft starter system is especially studied.On the basis of reference, analysis and generalization, in this thesis, the system design of solid soft starter based on variable reactance technique is selected through analyzing the motor characteristics of starting, contrasting several traditional modes of soft starter and combining with actual apply.In this thesis, hardware circuit based on the use of theμC/OS-Ⅱoperating system in ARM7 is introduced, including the system of microprocessor, the input/output channels of analog and switch signals, CAN bus communication, man-machine conversation module and the DC power, every part of the circuit is analyzed in detail. The software of the controller is discussed; include the flow of soft start and several important parts. Through analyzing both fuzzy control and PID, taking advantages of the characteristics of fuzzy and PID, the mixture of fuzzy control and PID are applied in the controlling strategy of starting electromotor. Then, it especially designs fuzzy controller. Moreover, it describes with details the software frame of intelligent solid soft starter and represents the name of measurement signal and controlling logic.The model of the soft start system is set up and simulated by Matlab/Simulink, the feasibility of the controller is proved by the simulation results. At last, system debugging is illuminated and experimental results are presented.The experiments indicate that the Intelligent Solid Soft Starter can decrease remarkably the starting current of the motor; the current can be restricted about three times rating current compared with the direct starting current. It declines effectively the wasting of electric net and saves the power resources.
