Research On Breaker's Mechanical Charateristic Testing System Based On Labview

The breaker is a sort of important electric equipment of switch wiring which take on the control and safeguard in electric power system,its running state will directly affect the safe of the electric system and the benefit of economy.There is a vital question for discussion which increase reliability of switch, and the breaker's mechanical character parameter is the emphasis of the guide line. Otherwise,with the development of computer science,Virtual Instrument technology is widely used in Measurement and Automation,and it becomes an important respect of measure and control nowadays.And it is prevalent to using a LabVIEW system to design and implement Virtual Instrument of Measurement and Automation system. This thesis analyzed the existing state and problem of the breaker's mechanical characteristic test on the foundation of the extensive survey,design a new breaker's mechanical characteristic test instrument and data manage application system.It includes: First,the hardware of the test instrument.The hardware of the test instrument comprises the signal gather and signal adjustment circuit use DSP singlechip as the core.It consists of signal gather circuit module ,signal adjustment module,serial A/D module,DSPsinglechip etc. It completes the functions of gathering and measuring breaker's mechanical character parameter,and it is the base of the test instrument. Second,the communication of the test instrument.The test instrument uses the USB communicating.The communication of the test instrument is made up of USB chip PDIUSBD12 and other periphery circuits,which making the test instrument's data delivering speed significantly increased, and the data memorizing more convenient. Third,the software in the computer.It is made up of the WDM driver on the Windows operating system and the breaker's mechanical character test application. The driver may make the Windows operating system identify the hardware automatically. The measure application is developed in the LabVIEW software environments, and it can dispose ,reveal and save the breaker's mechanical character paratemer It can also guide the measure results into the WORD file, which achieves the characteristic of "the software is an instrument". Finally, after the whole system had passed the debugging, the equipment system was tested in the electric research institute. The test results prove that the breaker's mechanical characteristic test instrument is stable and exact.
