Jiaxing city, which is located in a streamy plain combined by many rivers, is known as a city has plenty of rain and water resources. But, in the lately years, the tale that never lack of water was broken. In order to know the status of water resources and deal with these problems caused by lack water, many works have been done to get information about the nowadays status and how to rational utilizing and distributing of water resource in Jiaxing City. This paper tries to study on these issues mainly concerning with such a work:First, gathering information about the research method and overall status in China and also over the world was done.Second, calculation on the influx, distribution, utilization and drainage of water resource this city was done. Also, estimation for water quality of those rivers and some other surfae water was taken.Third, investigation and estimate mainly including the utilization and supply capability water was done. Thus, the status in quo of water resource in this city was gotten.Fourth, research and forecasting of the water needed by industry, agriculture, civil and all zoology was made.Fifth, by analysis the balance between supplying and utilizing, a function model of wath distribution was established to guide water supply and use.Sixth, rationality of the distribution model and its result was brought to discuss. Deta analysis by comparing with those works in developed countries and other advanced areas we made.At the end, a compendious sum-up and an expectation were brought out.
