Because of changes of electronic power burden and running statement of thermal equipment, boiler will be in long or short time examination and repair statement or pause and standby statement. If there is no safeguard during shutting down, the thermal equipment's inner surface will be eroded seriously. The erosion during shutting down do large harm to thermal equipments and effect the safe and economic running of thermal equipment. After many years study, research and manufacture departments adopt many effective means to protect thermal equipments during shutting down. And now, a new> effective and convenience method appear which is ODA film-forming method. But now some qualms that ODA perhaps detain ion-exchange resin still exist in this method. This restricts using of this excellent method.This article study not only the influence of ODA on ion -exchange resin when the boiler starting up but also the resolving ways. First, this research finds out the best ODA concentration through simulating film-forming experimentation in laboratory. And then in this ODA concentration, film-forming and desorbing experimentation was done and the ODA desorbed solution was analyzed trying to find out the transfer form and existing statement of desorbed ODA. Finally, based on the former research, the research that is trying to find out the influence of ODA desorbed solution on ion-exchange resin was done and the result shows that: They can pollute ion-exchange resin and decrease its exchange capacity seriously. This study tries to find out a new method that can protects ion-exchange resin from polluting by ODA desorbed solution. To realize this aim, the research trying to resuscitate polluted ion-exchange resin was done. But no effective method was found. Now that the result of this research is defeated, the thinking method should be transfer. Based on the analysis of the polluting mechanism of desorbed solution on ion-exchange, another method was taken out that is a filtrate bunched in front of the ion-exchange equipment to remove the polluting material. The filtrating research shows that the bunched filtrating equipment can remove most polluting material and can effectively prevent the ion-exchange resin from polluting. This method has advantages of convenience and effectiveness and cheapness. This method resolves worry in the using of ODA on the shutting down power equipment, thus the effective protecting method for power equipment during shutting down can be used widely.
