It has been only 20 years since bathroom emerged in Chinese urban family. For along period of time, bathroom has been a room that we always feel embarrassed toshow others. With the rapid amelioration of Chinese urban living condition, peopleattach more and more importance to bathroom. The main function of bathroom is toclear body, it ought to be a place in which our tiredness can be removed and our spiritcan be released, but the nowadays situation of urban bathroom is not very satisfied.Standing at a point of systematic approach, This article analyzes the history,actuality and trend of toilet and bath on the axis of time, and those outer factors andinter factors affecting bathroom design on the axis of space, so as to look onbathroom design in different directions. Based on the results of analysis in everychapter, the author conclude some problems existing in house design, bathroom spaceprogramming and bathroom facility design, and at the same time offer some ideas onitAt the part of design practice, several innovative design attempts are listed on thetopic of bath facility.
