Research On Comfort Evaluation Of Highway Vertical Alignment

With the raise of highway class and automobile travel speed, high demands are put forward to highway design. People pay more and more attention to comfortableness of highway use, but the comfortableness of driving have not been considered deeply in alignment evaluation methods existing. Through analyzing good points and weak points of all kinds of evaluation methods, influence factor of comfortableness to driving, the acceleration is defined to evaluate comfortableness of highway vertical section in the paper. Through analyzing the weigh on the assemble section of plane and vertical section, the acceleration models of sag vertical curve and crest vertical curve are set up separately. On the basis of analyzing mechanics performance and power performance to the automobile, axis acceleration model and the parametics of it are fixed. The comfortableness of vertical section alignment is evaluated with the index value of comfortableness confirmed according to two kinds of models. Finally, acceleration evaluation is made in some test stretch.
