As energy crisis and air pollution become more and more serious, it is very necessary for engine to find a way of sustainable development in motor vehicles industry. Today the change of diesel engine is quick day by day. At present, the diesel engine fuel injection system has entered the third generation of the electronically controlled fuel injection system—common rail fuel injection system. Now, it is very popular in many other countries, such as Japan, Germany and so on, that the electronically controlled injection system has come to the application stage, and extended quickly with remarkable benefits.But in our country, the tempo of locomotive engine is very slow, as the technology of electronic injection is at the beginning and even common rail system is under research. Evidently, it is imperative under the situation to develop electronically controlled technology, especially common rail injection system in our country. In this paper, the principle and history of electronically controlled system of diesel engine are analyzed on the basis of the injection theory of diesel engine, and what's more, common rail injection system ECD-U2 which is high-pressure injection system is the emphases.The hardware of the whole system includes the engine and the common rail, and the latter is the keystone and introduced at first. On the basis of the control theory, singlechip and C language, the strategy of injection quantity, timing and pressure come into being after bottom program has been studies deeply. Injection quantity and rail pressure come ture by using PID of closed loop, and injection timing is realized by compulating pre-angle of injection via MAP of injection timing. System software produces Real Time Multi-task Kernel as the core of MPC563, and all the hardware functions of MPC563 are supported by according software from system software. Further some important technology in the whole system are all dicussed. Otherwise, the experimental result is analysed and summarized. At last, there is a idea of strategy improvement, including integrating MAP, amending injection quantity and realizing multi-injection. The target of this articles is accumulating materials for the later work in the future.
