Study On The Ecological Factors Of Huizhou's Traditional Settlements

With the improvement of technology and social economy, the problem of environment and energy sources has aroused the attention of the whole world. Building construction, being the action of the largest consumption of energy, has great influence on the environmental change. Since the previous century, the ecological theory on architecture, which aim at the harmonious development of man, buildings, nature and society, has developed in overall way. Facing the advancing modern technique of ecological architecture, people review the traditional ecological technique and seek for the abundant ecological factors in it, which has been existed in China for thousands of years.The author takes Huizhou's traditional settlements for instance, deeply researches on the ecological factors and the natural viewpoint in the four aspects such as the planning, the single building construction, the natural resources and full use of space. The four aspects respectively embody the four principles such as Huizhou' s traditional settlements' accommodation in ecology with the natural terrain and physiognomy, the full use of natural energy source, the full use of natural resources and the full use of architectural space.In the end, the thesis summarizes the realistic significance in the study on the ecological factors in Huizhou's traditional settlements. By analyzing several successfully designed Huipai buildings, the author put forward the new idea that exhibits Huizhou' s regional characteristics from the ecological point of view and an expects that it has enlightenment on Huipai buildings' creation of the present day.
