Power transmission system matching mathematics model of track-type bulldozer is established, which mainly based on construction machinery theory. The power transmission system of TY165 bulldozer is analyzed and calculated using computer-aided analysis software in the paper. The correctness of the theory and practicability of computer software is verified by means of comparison analysis between the results of type testing and theoretic calculation result and some research conclusions are drew.The comparison analysis for characteristics of C399 and YJ380, two different types of hydrodynamic torque converter, is carried out in the paper. The input and output characteristics data in case of operation together after two types of hydrodynamic torque converters matching with the diesel engine, is calculated respectively, and the input and output characteristic curve operating together is drew. The following parameters are calculated, that is, max. output torque Tmax under the condition of two types of hydrodynamic torque converters matching with the diesel engine, high efficient rotational speed range dn, high efficient force moment range dT, the average output Ntp1 overall application , the average output Ntp2 in high efficient range, average unit fuel consumption gep1 overall application, the average unit fuel consumption gep2 within high efficiency range, power output coefficient ψ1,ψ2 ,average unit fuel consumption coefficient ψgep1, ψgep2.The comparison of above mentioned parameters is made and the conclusion is drew that the matching performance between YJ380 hydrodynamic torque converter and diesel engine is higher than C399 hydrodynamic torque converter obviously. The following conclusions are drew by further analyzing the matching performance between YJ380 hydrodynamic torque converter and diesel engine.1. Higher average output power can be obtained within high efficiency area of hydrodynamic torque converters.2. When the loading parabola decided by I* =0.75 corresponding to the highest efficiency application of hydraulic torque converter is between Max. rotary moment and rated application, the drawbar performance is much better, meanwhile the operation economy is also taken into consideration.3. High efficiency rotary speed range dn is much wider and speed adaptability is very good.4. High efficiency moment of force dT is much wider and the dynamic adaptability is very good.The conclusions are drew through comparison analyzing, that by the end of earth-moving process, the operating resistance Px with the blade full of soil is much...
