Vibratory plate compactor belongs to the tamping machinery of the compactingmachinery, it using the vibrational energy produced by vibration exciter to do thecompaction work. Vibratory plate compactor is suitable for building site, roadbed,road shoulder, road maintenance, pitch road surface remady or foundation tamping ofbridge and the tunnel, tamping of channel and trench, especially the long and narrowtrench. It's very easy to operate and improve the work efficiency.At present, the utilization of vibratory plate compactor is not only popular in thedeveloped countries, but also more and more popular in the domestic production andselling. Some domestic factories and scientific research units have already enlargedtheir research work of vibratory plate compactor, but they mainly concentrated on theresearch of the single eccentric pendular oscillation vibratory plate compactor, ofwhich the motion is simple. In this article we talk about the double eccentricoscillator vibratory plate compactor which can move itself and work in twodirections. It uses the synchronized cross-angle movement of double eccentricoscillator as its motion, it can both move itself in the horizontal direction, and tampthe ground in the vertical direction. Compared to the single eccentric pendularoscillation plate, it has better tamping effect and higher working efficiency.In this article, we analyzed the compaction and self-move mechanism ofvibratory plate compactor. The compaction is the process which make thecompaction material to enhance compactness through outside force. the earthcompaction may include three kinds of different compaction principles: staticcompaction, impact compaction and vibration compaction. In this article we talkabout the vibratory plate compactor which is designed and manufactured by usingthe theory, one of the most advanced tamping theory in the world at present whichcombine the impact soil surface and the in-depth soil vibration influence to tamp theground. Vibratory plate compactor moves itself because the horizontal component ofthe double eccentric oscillator centrifugal inertia force and the friction force affecttogether It can work forward, reverse or in-situ vibrating tamper convenientlythrough operating the handle.In this article,we established dynamics model of "vibratory plate compactor -earth" vibration system, and present the viewpoint that deviating from the groundduring its normal work is inevitable, and divided the work process of vibratory platecompactor into 4 stages according to its stress and the real work situation, listed outsimultaneous differential equation in each stage of the vibrating system, obtained theconclusion that there exists backlash or stop stage in the advance process of vibratoryplate compactor, and confirmed the rationality of this viewpoint by ADAMSdynamic simulation. I analyzed the vibration isolation performance of vibratory platecompactor. In order to achieve the better vibration isolation effect,we should choicethe shock absorber which has small rigidity or increase the quality of the rack. thencarried out the dynamic simulation of its vibration isolation effect. Used the ADAMSsoftware to carry out the dynamics model simulation of vibratory plate compactor,and obtained the conclusion that the vibration frequency,the eccentricity quadratureand the eccentric angle of the eccentricity block have the tremendous influence to themove speed and the oscillation amplitude of vibratory plate compactor,even thehitting power to the ground. I also analyzed the climbing ability of vibratory platecompactor and obtained the computational method of the biggest climbing angle,thencarried out the dynamic simulation of the climbing ability. In order to get the besttamping results of vibratory plate compactor, I do optimization simulation of theoperational parameter of vibratory plate compactor, and obtained the conclusion thatalong with increasing of the soil compactness, vibratory plate compactor transformsfrom the low frequency high amplitude work condition to the high-frequency lowamplitude work condition. Finally through vibratory plate compactor field test,confirmed conclusion that the correctness of theoretical analysis and ADAMSdynamic simulation analysis.The viewpoints and the conclusions proposed by this article has provided thelater design and manufacture of vibratory plate compactor with the theory basis andthe positive sense.
