With the rapid development of auto industry, product cost and quality become more and more importance for manufactures.The cost of press parts including material cost, machining cost and die cost. The cost of die is make up of three parts: the cost of die making, die repairing, and the inactivity cost. In normal situation, the cost of die account for 15%~25% of press parts cost. With the increasing of press parts yield, the percent of die cost is decreased.The cost of die making is relatively fixed value, and the cost of die repairing is fixed value according to the calculation of define repair cycle. But inactivity cost is currently costing, which is seldom occurred at regular production.So the percent of die cost can be decreased effectively by increasing of service life of die, which can be done by proper sharpening and high-grade repairing. The die repairing involved extensive knowledge, difficult and complex technology, which combined intensive technique and service.For example, the control of finish size and gap of the spoiled male die and cavity die at fitting are more time-consuming and difficult than making them, and the debugging after overall repairing is the same situation. Now, there is a phenomenon that premium on making and not on repairing, even more only making no repairing, which inhibit die repairing entering to mould market, even effect the production and reduction die service life.In addition, there are very little special factories can repairing die.
