Ventilation technology research in fire in fortes road tunnels has been one of focal points for expressway tunnel engineering. Focused on Qinling Mountain Zhongnanshan fortes road tunnel, making use of theoretic analysis and fire experiments, this paper analyzes the distribution law of the ventilation parameters—temperature field, pressure field and smoke flow field in tunnel fire. Furthermore, ventilation technology of the long road tunnels has been studied further and the accuracy of all parameters in network ventilation proved by the experiment datum.The paper introduces tunnel fire's characteristics, causes, damages and statue quo home and abroad. In addition, network ventilation technology is applied to study and calculate shaft and jet fans segment longitudinal ventilation control on fire smoke flow. According to basic hypotheses of flow in tunnel, incompressible flow with low speed, continuity equations, energy equation, steady flow, a set of visual software which can calculate the tunnel ventilation in fire has been worked out.Taking Qinling Mountain Zhongnanshan fortes road tunnel for example, the author has divided fire protection sections in terms of fire's characteristics firstly, then established prevention and rescue plans in accordance with the calculated results of the operation of jet fans and shaft fans when fire occurs in different sections.The paper presents the principle of dividing fire protection sections in fortes road tunnels, the principle of fire ventilation design of fortes road tunnels in segment longitudinal ventilation mode, the fire ventilation design method, the fire ventilation calculation criteria and jet fans' collocation principle of fortes road tunnels in segment longitudinal ventilation mode.
