Automobile Anti-lock Braking System is an active safety device. It can raise the safety performance and reduce accident rate. Now ABS has become a standard device equipped with on many vehicles. Chinese relevance legislation has been compulsively drawn up to call for equiping with ABS on passenger train and wagon. ABS will face a high-speed growth in China in future. But the inspection of ABS mainly depends on the road experiment which needs much money, much time and much labour. It is lack of efficient and accurate testing means in room in China now. And it is not satisfy the requirement of ABS development and production.This paper mainly focuse on study of simulation test and evaluation for ABS. It was developed a simulation test system for ABS performance test which is used in product quality control in ABS manufacturing plant.Firstly, it was studied the emulational model of automobile dynamics, such as vehicle system model, tire model, braking torque model and road model. Then, these models were programmed by C+ + . And the automobile dynamic model of braking process was established.Secondly, based on the exploitation of MCS-51 single chip system, it was developed hardware for ABS test, which can send and collect vehicle roller speed signal and control signal of electromagnetic valve of ABS pressure adjustor in real-time, and can communicate between PC and ECU. Thus, a hardware-in-the-loop simulation test system was established for ABS ECU.Finally, the software for ABS test system was developed by the tool of Visual C+ + , its consumer interface can communicate between person and PC. And it can conducted simulation test and road test for ABS. It was carried out simulation test and road test for ABS independly, and it was analyzed the results between simulation test and road test. The results showed the ABS test system developed was correct and credible.
