Based on the knowledge of transversely isotropic elastic mechanics and Biot's dynamic equations of saturated soil, combining the contact surface boundary condition, the characteristic response of transversely isotropic saturated soil under axisymmetrical transient load has been analyzed systematically in this dissertation. This paper covers the following parts:For saturated soil in half-space, the dynamic response equations of transversely isotropic saturated soil are solved when the inertia displacement part of liquid relative to soil skeleton is considered. By using Laplace-Hankel integral transform, combining drained water boundary and initial stress condition of the upper foundation surface, the general solutions of the governing equations in transform domain are obtained. The solutions in time domain can be got by numerical inverse Laplace-Hankel transform. Numerical examples are presented to analyse the influence of anisotropic parameters on vertical displacements, and also the regularity of displacements and stress at different place vary with dimensionless radial and time are analyzed in this paper.Secondly, taking the inertia displacement part of liquid relative to soil skeleton into consideration, transient dynamic response of transversely isotropic saturated soil of overlaying bedrock is studied in this paper. Combining the boundary conditions of surface initial stress and fixed displacement on bedrock, according to the same integral transform methods as above, the displacement and stress solutions in time domain are obtained. By numerical method, the influence of anisotropic parameters on vertical displacements are studied, and also the displacements vary with dimensionless radius are studied when the thickness of saturated soil is different. Furthermore, under the condition of the same saturated soil thickness, the displacements vary with time are also analyzed in this paper. Finally, by using Laplace-Hankel integral transform and the technology of matrix transfer, the dynamic response of transversely isotropic partly saturated soils is studied. Combining the initialstress and the drained water condition on the contact surface, the model in which the upper stratum is elastic medium soil while the lower one consists of porous liquid saturated soil is discussed. The radial and vertical displacement solutions in transform domain are obtained when normal transient load is applied to the surface of overlying elastic saturated soil in half-space. When the thickness of saturated soil is different, numerical results are presented to investigate the displacements vary with dimensionless radius and time.
