Because of the shortage of not onlycareful elaboration in the selection of architecture placement and style but also effectiveforecast in building size and area for the lack of the scientific instruction and enoughtime in contraction, some buildings doing harm to the nature landscape have appearedin quit lot of landscape district.Aiming at those problems, the paper basing on the survey on the spot and projectpractice chooses the representative Huangshan-landscape district under the backgroundof regionally culture traditions to carry through the study from the aspects relating toarchitecture design of vision, landscape, function, environment etc.According to the time order, the papers study the architecture mass control duringthe process of pre-building, building and post-building. The pre-building phase namelyarchitectural programming phase should be regard as the mass forecast control phase,with the goal and strategy of mass control, the selection of architecture placement,architecture function, architecture height, architecture size as the control factor, thepaper puts forward approach and scheme of material mass control in this phase;Thebuilding phase namely architectural design phase should be regard as the massoperation control phase, with the architecture direction ,architecture projectionarea ,architecture roof form ,architecture profile as the control factor, the paperilluminates the factors affecting the architecture mass which can be reference toarchitecture design in this phase;The post-building namely architectural evaluationphase should be regard as the mass evaluation control phase, with the mass controlfactor put forward in above paragraphs as evaluation item, the paper concludes theevaluation system of architecture mass control being applicable to Huangshanlandscape district by evaluating the actuality of the existent buildings in the Huangshanlandscape district, summing up the experience and lecture in the practice of architecturemass control and feeding back to the design work in the future.
