Wave loads should be considered as the most important one within a structural design, the correct calculation of which is the prerequisites of structural design of the ship and reasonable assessment of the ship intensity. For ultra container ships, as a result of big openings of this ship shape, the torsinal strength is down, and the torsinal strength is prominent contradictions besides total structural strength , in ramps waves the torsinal moment is the most concern. At the same time, bow flare impacts, green sea loadings, the bow and stern attack and so on are extremely obviously, the ship large amplitude movement and with the non-linear load which the base sound of something being struck or falling to the ground strikes causes the non-linearity load to be far more prominent than the movement; The large containership has the obvious non-linear characteristic in wave movement;in ramps waves the torsinal moment is the most concern, the moment of the middle profile is anisomerous about the emergence and the lower; In the short-wave length ramps waves conditions, the torsinal moment is the most large;the torsinal moment is much smaller than the horizontal moment and the vertical moment;the weight distribution along the ship length is very important for evaluating the torsinal moment; With wave angle 120 degrees, because in the shortwave length range horizontal movement amplitude is small, the torsinal moment is generated mainly by the hydrodynamic pressure rather than inertia force;the nonlinear characteristics can hardly be significant at the midship and stern cross sections while the nonlinear characteristics of the torsinal moment at the bow cross section are sizeable, nonlinear effects appear in various hull response such as ship motion, hull girder moments and pressures. Thus, the effects of nonlinearity are to be considered when setting the final design loads; For container ships the torsinal moment of the stern is far larger than what in the midship and bow, which is considered to be caused by the unsymmetric hull shape and weight distribution along the ship length. For container ships such load characteristics, the paper conducted in-depthresearch. Using 3D Rankine sources methods in time domain make the direct structural calculations for ultra container ships. First some research are made about large container ships progress of the study, foreign classification societies large container ships directly calculate structural applications, on the basis of studying and using WASIM software the 3D linear movements and wave load ,the 3D nonlinear movement and wave load of a practical ship are calculated, moreover, the final results of the calculation have been analysed, including an analysis of the nonlinear element, uses WASIM software in the study and the digestion in the foundation, separately has calculated the different wave to the angle correspondence linear condition next six degrees of freedom movement response, center the section plane and the ship head and tail section plane strength and moment; When non-linear condition next six degrees of freedom movement undergoes, center section plane and ship head and tail section plane strength and moment of force when undergoes, the entire ship general pressure distribution. Finally has carried on the analysis to the computed result, and includes to non-linear factor carries on the analysis. The analysis obtains, these conclusions with many classification societies' correlation computed result are consistent, further confirmed the three dimensional method compares strip method suits to the large containership movement and the wave loads computation.
