Steering gear is a key component of the automobile system ,it occupy an important position in the automobile system, its development reflects the development of automobile industry at the same time , and its scale and quality became one of the important signs of weighing the development level of automobile industry. In order to verify its capability and quality, the power steering gear has to be tested on the test-bed. With the development of technology, we have to develop new type test-bed.Output end coupling component is an important part of automobile test equipment, it plays a role in transmitting torsion and outputting motive force, its performance quality influences the gear directly, and then influences the service life of the whole test-bed. Output end coupling component ruptures and destroys under debugging and testing. In order to insure the reliability of output end coupling component , it is necessary to carry out intension analysis.This text introduces the elementary theory of finite element analytic process the application of finite element in the mechanical design, and introduces mathematical model . basic solution . convergence criterion of optimization design, and then introduces the chief functions and characteristics of the finite element software, ANSYS, and the CAD software SolidWorks, in detail. Furthermore, the processes using ANSYS to carry out intension analysis and optimum design are introduced as a focal point.In this paper, SolidWorks is used to create the model of output -end coupling component which is according with design demand. Then the model is submitted to ANSYS where it is dealed with and loaded according as actual working condition and dealed with static analysis and the non-linear analysis. The result shows , about the protruding sets of slip block has stress convergence, this is identical in slip block ruptured area actually, it proves ANSYS is an effective finite element analyze software , according to stress nephogram , the maximal stress is bigger than the breaking point of 40Cr steel alloy , in order to reduce stress and improve the reliability of the structure , it is necessary to optimize the structure of shizi slip block. This text also introduces machine components stress, intensity " interfere " model, static reliability analyze model and limitless life-span fatigue intension reliability model of slip block. Calculate the reliability under limitless life-span;Finally ,Tocreate the parametric model of shizi slip block, and then to use ANSYS to optimize it. The result shows the maximal stress in shizi slip block reduced remarkably ,its distributing is more rational and the reliability is improve.This study shows CAE helps to improve design level of mechanical accessory, shorten design cycle and reduce design cost. It is a very important demonstration for the application of FE analysis technology in the enterprise and at the future development of products.
