The brake capability is one of the most important performance of the vehicle, and the capability of the vehicle brake system can directly affect the vehicle's moving safety. So it is necessary to make research about the vehicle brake system in detail.Firstly the brake capability of the complete vehicle is analysed in the thesis, which includes the demand of the vehicle braking distance, the overall braking torgue of the vehicle, and the distribution of braking force for the fore-and-aft brake. Combined with the claim of the vehicle brake capability made by ECE(United Nations Economic Commission for Europe) brake code the design is analysed to accord with the code.The brake is one of the important parts of brake system. The structure and characteristic of dram brake and disc brake which are two brake styles at present is introduced particularly, the calculation of the brake moment is deduced in detail according to the different style brake, and the related expression and analytical method are established. Furthermore the compression resistance, wear-resistance and temperature rising of the friction disk which is the most work part of the brake are calculated.The style and the basic makeup of the braking drive system which controls the action of the brake is analysed. The constituent style of the abroad advanced brake drive is enumerated, also the related parameters of the braking drive system are analysed and calculated.The thesis probes into the advanced electronic control mode of brake system adopted by vehicle currently, and the principle and function of different electronic control mode is introduced.In the last ,the whole design scheme about vehicle brake system CAD is presented, and the basic model of the CAD system including the capability analysis and calculation of the brake system are established.
