Making use of stone to build dams is old line in our country and China is one of the countries in the world which builds stone-dams at the earliest stage and which has most of them. At that time, people designed and constructed stone-dams without united norm standard in the whole country. The reference and the engineering that draw lessons form are few too. As a result, the stone-dams builtded between 1950 and 1970 were built in the early stage cannot keep their feet in theory, and exit some hidden trouble. Though several decades, most of them appear breakage, crack and leakage etc, Causes the project benefit to drop, endangers phenomenon and so on project security. Therefore, it is necessary to inspect and reinforce them.Builds the stone dam reinforcement main and the effective method is constructs the concrete in front of the dam guards against infiltrates the wooden fence. Concrete wall can not only prevent the leakage, but also improve the stability and the distributing of stress of the dam if its thickness is increased properly. Some shortcoming such as brittleness, bad crack-arresting etc influence its further application in the engineering. The problem of crack in the concrete wall has always drown the attention of engineers and been difficult to be solved. It is long ago that people mixed fiber into brittle material to boost up its toughness. The technology using synthetic fiber in concrete began at 1970s. In recent years, the meliorated polypropylene fiber has been used more and more widely because its remarkable merit.This article carries on the discussion to the characteristic of the polypropylene textile fiber and the domestic and foreign research present situation of the polypropylene textile fiber concrete, carries on the summary to the improvement performance of the polypropylene textile fiber concrete, such as anti-crack, anti-impact, flexibility, bending strength, wear-resisting performance etc. the discussion to the waterproof reliability and the efficiency of the polypropylene textile fiber concrete wooden fence. According to the crack caution of concrete and the function of the concrete wall which reinforces the stone-dams, this paper takes the design and construction of the wall and carry though systematic study on the basis of study.Based on the actual project and active criterion, this paper brings forward the checking means of the stability and the stress of the existent stone-dams. According to the checking result and the surroundings of the existent dam, how to determine the thickness of the polypropylene fider concrete wall and the grade of resisting freezing and leakage etc is disgusted in this paper. According to the actual project example, this paper illuminate the method to tie the resisting leakage concrete in the old dam and other detail structure.
