Tower-belt is a kind of machine which combines feeding belt machine and tower crane. As a new kind of construction machine, it is seldom applied in construction project. And during actual using process of tower-belt and other concrete transportation equipments, some project accidents happened because of design problem or manufacture problem. As a result, the study and analysis of the structure of tower belt crane can redound to the design of tower-belt, which has own knowledge property right.This paper set up a finite element model of TC2400 tower-belt making use of the famous finite element analysis software-ANSYS, calculated the deformation of the lifting arm, and analyzed the deformation and stress of the full mechanical model in four work situation of two different function mode. Then the paper checked the stress distributing of some important parts, such as the work flat, the join between the turning flat and tower body, and the join between tower burls.This paper also discussed the practical simplification of complicated structure, the complex modeling method of different kinds of element, and contact analysis problems.The paper has several innovate points as below:1. Studied some problems, such as practical simplification of complicated structure, complex modeling method of different kinds of element, and contact analysis problem. Getting some experience about, and provide some revelation for full model analysis of complex and huge structure.2. Successfully applied sub-modeling method in finite element analysis of TC2400 tower-belt, and bring out a practical method for analysis of complex structure. This method can satisfy the engineering request, and save computing time.
