With the development of bridge engineering construction, the continuous rigid frame bridges develop rapidly and grow towards long span and more flexibility. It makes the analysis of the stability and temperature more important. So it is necessary to study the stnictrural behavior of the continuous rigid frame bridge with long span and high piers.Tacking the Muguaxi Bridge in Fengjie Chongqing as an example, the thesis analyzed the mechanics and design characteristic of large span continuous rigid frame bridge with hige piers, and with comparison method, discussed the different in mechanincs of 11 types of piers with series of lengths with single box section and double thin web plates. First, calculate the beam bending rigidity and the pier lateral rigidity. On this foundation, the third chapter calculate the inner force and distortion in the maximum cantilever phase and using phase by dead load and live load with 11 kinds of different structure with different piers, and make a conclusion by comparing the results of part of critical section by chart. The fourth chapter calculate the inner force and distortion in the maximum cantilever phase when the piers get the nonlinear temperature, and also calculate the inner force in the using phase with 11 kinds of different structure with different piers when the piers get the uniformity temperature or the nonlinear temperature, and make a conclusion by comparing the results of part of critical section by chart. The fifth chapter calculate the stability in the maximum cantilever phase and using phase, and make a conclusion by comparing the different critical coefficient and unstability mode with different piers. At last, the thesis has pointed out existent problem and develop direction.
