With the rapid development of China's economy and the improvement of people's life, the purchase capability for cars is increasing and more and more car parks (CP) are needed in metropolis. The windmill-air-car parks (WACPs) are very attractive, because they have many advantages, such as peculiar and beautiful shape, smaller taking area, less investment, better safety and reliability, and easy to pass in and out etc. Among mechanical three-dimensional CPs, WACPs play an important role and they will have broader market in the future with the improvement and development of their structure. There is a disadvantage in the traditional design methods of WACPs, i.e. the strength and stiffness of most components are over design, leading to material waste and the structure weakness in some components. Therefore, it is necessary to improve the methods in the analysis and design. In this thesis, a modern simulation design method is used and following work has been completed. In the first, the static analysis and optimization of hang axle have been completed. The optimized shape with satisfactory performance and the lightest mass is determined. In the second, the maximum imbalance moment method is used for the analysis of CPs. The weakness components under the maximum imbalance moment are found out and the verification and re-design are carried out. In addition, the fabrication of components and the assembly of sample machine based on the optimization design are completed, and the measurements and comparison are done. The results show the theoretical analysis is basically in agreement with the experimental results. In the end, the simulation and analysis for whole system are completed, and the basic frequency, the second and third harmonic are found out, which supply us with important reference data for later work. The meaning of this thesis lies in the fact that it provides a set of method to design and optimize WACP. This method is an essential step for the project design, the fabrication of sample machine, measurement and environment testing. In summary, the structure analysis and simulation method of WACPs using Pro/E software is a good way, because it can lower the fabrication cost, reduce the fabrication period, and therefore reduce the time to appear at market.
