The article synthetically analyzes the domestic and abroad research actuality of asphalt mixture pavements as well as the road construction progress, it compares and absorbs the relative structures of the same products and combines the inland construction facts. It also put forward the method to test and evaluate the effect of the paver-transfer-jointed pavements, and it take the lead in developing the first tracked asphalt mixture transfer device (MTD) and putting the machine into operation in China. By the way of systematically analyzing the principle of the core device of MTD, the suitable structures of the agitator are designed. The experiments and the tests prove that the MTD can eliminate the temperature segregations, eliminate or reduce the aggregate segregations in site and the pile segregations resulting from the gravity are also firstly resolved. With the long period of experiments, it appears that the pavement technology with MTD can remix the asphalt mixture, improve the road quality, ensure the continuously overlaying, and prolong the performance life of the expressway. As the effective application in road construction, the paver-transfer-jointed pavement can benefit the society and the economy.
