The notion of "Internet" has been known by more people with the development of computer and the prevalence of internet. Our home is hoped to become a part of Internet, the master can know the situation of his home and the state of household equipments. It will make our home more humanized and intelligentized. In this background, technique of intelligence home network becomes very popular. In the field of transmission, technique of low voltage power line communication is one of the best methods of transmission because of low cost and credibility. This paper explores some problems about intelligence home network solved by low voltage power line communication mainly. According to the requirement of transmiting baud rate, we can divide home network into two parts, one part is intelligence home control network, another is intelligence home information network. Combining the power line communication chip ST7536 and LonWorks network node control technique, we can implement the design of intelligence home control network. For intelligence home information network, it can be built up using DSP&FPGA, we implement OFDM moddemod, synchronization of signal and codingdecoding by software. In the paper, we introduce the development status quo of intelligence home network and low voltage power line communication and some problems of them at first. We discuss LonWorks protocol system and its application in intelligence home network. Give the design of hardware and software on intelligence home network based on ST7536. Combining with sofe wireless technique, the hardware design of intelligence home information network is given then. At last, we talk about the key technique of power line communication, OFDM (short for orthogonal frequency division multiplexing), and implement the simulation of transmission and reception using MATLAB.
