The main security problem in substation automation communication is how to ensure effectively the information security of electric scheduling and controlling system and its network, and implement the secrecy of communication and authentication of sender's authorization. This paper, based on the requirement, uses TCG and IEC61850 which are the most advanced international standard system structure and the basic methods. Then a security system of remote communication in substation automation is presented, which adopts the technology of Trusted Computing and Remote Procedure Call(RPC). Based on the security system, the problem of security in substation automation communication can be resolved. Meanwhile, the RPC communication between the remote and local platform in the system is designed. Furthermore, capacitor protection system is taken as an example, and the logic node model of the Intelligent Electronic Devices(IED) with security function is built. Finally controlling the breaker is taken as an example, and the process for security transmission of the controlling information from Control Center to IED in bay layer is designed. On the other hand, AES algorithm and RSA algorithm is optimized and implemented ,and FPGA is taken as the algorithm carrier, because substation automation system is a real-time system. In addition, in order to validate if digital signature can resolve the problem of authentication of correspondent's identity and integrality of the information, Smart Card is taken as a TPM to experimentalize remote security authentication.
