With rapid development of automobile industry, the exhausting emission from the vehicle brings out severe influence on the living environment. In order to reduce the exhausting emission and satisfy more and more strict refinement of emission regulation, two measurements must be simultaneously implemented: improving the vehicle technology and enhancing fuel quality. When the technology of controlling the burning of the engine and fuel quality attains to certain extent, it must be done to optimize the match between the burning technology and fuel quality. Based on the investigation of fuel character and adjustable parameter of influencing the exhausting emission of the engine, functional relation among the emission, fuel character and engine's parameter is proposed in the dissertation. A simulation model for controlling the exhausting emission is established. The main context is illustrated as follows. 1. Sampling data of domestic fuel quality is completed. The relation between fuel components and the emission of internal combustion is analyzed. On the basis of the data from fuel survey, combining domestic and oversea fuel standard, internal refining process, and the variation of key parameter of fuel components is determined. 2. Applying the burning model of the engine, influence of fuel character on the burning process is analyzed. The relation between the fuel character and the burning property is got. 3. After analyzing the forming mechanism of exhausting emission in modern vehicle, and the control technology of emission, the relation between the fuel components and exhausting emission is studied. Then, the emission model of the vehicle is setup, which can be used to optimize the fuel property. 4. According to the simulation analysis of controlling parameter and each model, the result in different parameters is obtained. Three controlling parameters are selected and the simulation analysis includes the following aspects: different air/fuel ratio (AFR), different spark advance, different exhaust gas re-circulation (EGR). 5. According to the sampling data from domestic fuel quality, regional difference of fuel quality is analyzing. The match parameters of optimal exhausting emission influenced by regional character of fuel property is obtained. The above results can provide some reference to Chinese refinery enterprise and automobile manufacture. They can also provide the referenced value to reduce the exhausting emission of the vehicle.
