Based on engineering practice, the technology of water injection and dry low NOx(DLN) is analyzed and compared in this thesis, which demonstrates the DLN combustoron nature gas or light oil fuel has the obvious advantages in reducing NO_x emission, safereliability, etc. Especially, reducing NO_x emission can meet GB13223-2003 issued in Dec,2003.This thesis represents the hazards of NO_x emission, the research significance anddevelopmental status of control technology both in and out of country, and analyses NO_xformation mechanism. The control methods of reducing NO_x emission are put forward,and the mathematic models applicable for gas turbine combustor are established applyingcombustion theory. The velocity field, temperature field and NO_x concentration field ofdiffuse combustor, water injection of GE are simulated, analyzed and compared. Thisthesis places emphasis to the numeric simulation and comparison of water injection andDLN.The characteristics and principle of work of all kinds of combustors in the world isintroduced in this thesis in detail to serve as a valuable reference in gas turbinecombustion system selection and performance test.It is shown that the combustion modes of water injection and DLN have theirrespective applicable fields, advantages and disadvantages, and that DLN combustor is anoptimal choice for generator sets on nature gas or light oil fuel through comparing twomodes of combustion in the performance of stabilization, security, economy and reducingNOx emission.
