As one of the inertial navigation systems , strapdown inertial navigation system possessing such characters as small size, light weight, low cost, and high reliability compared with platform inertial navigation system, is the present or later direction of development of INS. Gyroscope is a significant sense organ, and it senses angular velocity of vehicle. Dynamically tuned gyros are one of the most widely used nowadays, and it is common used in strapdown inertial system as a velocity gyro. Gyro house is mounted on the carrier, and it sense angular velocity of a couple of axes. The operation of Rebalance Loop is resuming consecutively the axis of sense organ to the position where it should be.This dissertation concentrates on the research of the pulse rebalance loop (PRL) for dynamically tuned gyroscopes. On the basis of the deep study on theories and characteristics of PRL, a binary width-modulated pulse rebalance loop is developed. The main errors of PRL which have much bad influence on the accuracy of system based on the analysis of their performances are pointed out and the methods to restrict or compensate for them are given. The processes of analysis, design, manufacture and test about every makeup of loop are discussed. The general role of design of the torque current generator (TCG), which is the most important component of the loop, is presented. It is proved by the experiments that all designs of the system are correct and that the system is stable.
